Smoked pork chops Fresh yams or sweet potatoes Apples Apple juice or cider Brown sugar Salt and pepper to taste Brown smoked pork chops; layer in roaster with peeled and sliced sweet potatoes and sliced apples. I don't peel apples, but you can. I usually end up with pork chops, sweet potatoes and apples in two layers. After each layer I sprinkle with pepper (use if you like). I use no salt. The amount of brown sugar depends on how sweet an apple you use. Cover layers with apple juice or cider and bake one hour at 350 degrees or until tender (a complete meal). Cover your pan or roaster. |
