PORK CHOP ONION-RICE BAKE 
6 pork chops
2 tbsp. oil or butter
1 c. uncooked rice
1 envelope onion soup mix
1 can mushrooms
Hot water

Brown chops. Spread rice in bottom of 13 x 9 inch pan. Reserve 1 tablespoon of soup mix and sprinkle remaining over rice. Drain mushrooms, reserve liquid and spread mushrooms over rice. Add hot water to reserved liquid to make 3 cups and pour over rice.

Put pork chops on top and sprinkle each with remaining soup mix. Cover with foil and bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 60 minutes. Remove foil and cook 10 minutes to evaporate liquid.
