APPLE - YAM CASSEROLE 
2 apples, sliced
1/3 c. pecans or walnuts, chopped
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 (17 oz.) cans yams, drained or may use fresh that have been cooked
1/4 c. butter
2 c. miniature marshmallows

Toss apples and nuts with brown sugar and cinnamon. Alternate layers of apples and yams in 1 1/2 quart casserole. Dot with butter. Cover. Bake at 350 degrees 35 to 40 minutes. Sprinkle with marshmallows and broil until lightly browned. Serve. Serves 6.
