ROBERT'S CHILI 
1 lb. ground beef
1 lb. pork sausage
1/2 lb. beef smoked sausage, cut up
1 med. green pepper, chopped
1 c. celery, chopped
2 (16 oz.) cans red kidney beans
2 (15 oz.) cans tomatoes, cut up
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
2 cloves garlic, minced (or dried equivalent)
2 tsp. chili powder
2 tsp. salt (optional)

MILD:

1. Brown and drain 1 lb. ground beef and 1 lb. pork sausage.

2. Mix all of above ingredients in crock pot and cook for 8 hours.

HOT:

Adjust recipe by using hot pork sausage, 3 to 4 tsp. chili powder and adding 2 to 5 fresh jalapeno peppers (seeded and chopped). Add Texas Pete or Tabasco at the table.
