BUTTER POUND CAKE 
1 lb. butter
3 c. flour (cake flour)
8 eggs
3 c. sugar
1 tbsp. flavoring (your favorite)

Sift flour and sugar together. Let butter get to room temperature (2 days) in covered bowl. Beat butter at high speed; add flour, sugar, eggs until all mixture is used. Beat an additional 20 minutes. Pour into greased and floured pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
