KENTUCKY CAKE (OLD-TIME) | |
4 c. flour 2 tsp. baking powder 2 c. sugar 1 c. butter 1/2 c. cream Whites of 8 eggs, beaten stiff (add the whites to the cream) 1 tsp. lemon extract Work the butter and sugar well together, then stir in the cream, then alternate the flour and eggs until all the ingredients are in, and last add the extract. Put into deep buttered pans and bake in a moderate oven until done. |
