ACRE PEAS 
1 qt. shelled fresh or frozen acre peas and snaps
Salt
4-6 slices smoked bacon, cut into sm. pieces
Water

Into large pot, place peas, which have been thoroughly washed. Add enough water to cover peas. Salt to taste. Add bacon pieces and cover pot. Cook until tender. Add more water, if needed, to prevent peas from cooking dry before they are done.
