ORANGE TOSSED SALAD 
1/2 head shredded lettuce
1 c. chopped celery
1 tbsp. minced parsley
2 green onions
1 (11 oz.) can mandarin oranges, drained
1/4 c. caramelized almonds

Caramelized Almonds: Melt 1/4 cup granulated sugar in heavy skillet. Add 1/4-1/3 cup slivered almonds. Heat and stir until sugar is caramelized, around almonds. Pour out onto aluminum foil. Break apart when cooled.

DRESSING:

1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. oil
2 tbsp. sugar
Few dashes Tabasco sauce
2 tbsp. white vinegar
Pepper

Mix salad ingredients, adding caramelized almonds and dressing just before serving.
