ANGEL PIE 
1/2 c. melted butter
1 c. flour, unsifted
2 tbsp. sugar

Stir melted butter into flour and sugar. Form into ball and place in pie plate. Press with fingers to make pie shell. Bake 10-12 minutes in 375 degree oven. Watch carefully and often.

FILLING:

A.

1 c. light brown sugar
4 1/2 tbsp. cornstarch
1 1/2 c. warm water

Cook in double boiler until thick.

B.

3 egg whites
3/8 tsp. salt

Beat together until stiff. Add:

3 tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Combine A and B while A is very hot. Cool. Place in baked pie shell and refrigerate. Cover with layer of whipped cream. Sprinkle grated bitter chocolate and finely chopped pecans on top. Serves 6.
