CHILI RICE SKILLET | |
1 lb. ground beef 3 c. water 1 c. rice 1 (15 oz.) can kidney beans 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce 1 med. onion, chopped 1 to 2 tbsp. chili powder 2 tsp. salt Shredded Cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese (optional) Brown ground beef in skillet, drain. Add remaining ingredients except cheese. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer about 25 minutes or until rice is tender. Stir occasionally. Top with cheese just before serving if desired. |
