COTTAGE PUDDING 
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1 egg
1 c. sweet milk
3 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder

Mix and bake at 375 degrees until done, 35-40 minutes. Make sauce of 2 tablespoons butter, 1 cup white sugar and 3 tablespoons flour, wet with a little cold water. Add 2 cups boiling water, boil until thick, serve over cottage pudding warm.
