BUTTER POUND CAKE 
2 sticks butter
2 c. sugar
3 c. flour
1 c. milk
6 eggs
1 tbsp. vanilla

Cream sugar and butter until smooth. Add eggs, one at a time, and mix well. Add 1/2 of flour; mix well. Add 1/2 of milk. Add remaining flour. Add rest of milk. Blend until smooth; add vanilla.

Grease and flour tube pan. Pour in cake batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes to 1 hour. Cool and remove from pan. If you want butter flavor, but don't want to use real butter, use butter and buttermilk to get butter flavor. Bake in tube pan.
