APPLE AND SAUSAGE PATTIES | |
8 oz. mild pork sausage 1 c. shredded peeled apple 1/2 c. fine dry bread crumbs 1 egg, slightly beaten 2 tbsp. flour 1 tbsp. vegetable shortening In medium bowl combine all ingredients, except shortening, until well blended. Form into 4 patties, each about 1/2 inch thick. In 10 inch skillet, over medium heat, fry patties in hot shortening for 3 to 5 minutes on each side or until well browned. Reduce heat to low, cover, and cook 5 minutes longer or until no longer pink center drain on paper towels. Serve hot. |
