APPLE SAUSAGE STUFFING 
12 oz. white bread (8 c.) dried
1/4 c. parsley
1 tbsp. sage leaves, crumbled
2 tsp. poultry seasoning
1/4 tsp. pepper
8 tbsp. butter
2 lg. onions (2 c.)
1 1/2 c. celery

In large bowl put white bread, parsley, sage leaves, poultry seasoning, and pepper. Cook 8 tablespoons butter, onions and celery 5 to 7 minutes until crisp-tender. Add to bread mixture. Cook 8 ounces sausage meat and add to bread. Chop 2 small tart apples (2 cups), 3/4 cup pecans and 1 cup chicken broth. Makes 8 cups for 12 to 14 pounds turkey or bake uncovered in a greased 3 quart casserole dish at 350 degrees 45 to 50 minutes.
