BAKED CHICKEN DINNER 
2 broilers, 2 lbs. on cut in half
6 med. potatoes, peeled and cut in quarters
3 carrots, cut
3 sm. onions, cut
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 c. half and half cream
1/4 lb. butter

Place vegetables in a roasting pan with tight fitting cover. Place chicken halves on top of vegetables. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Pour all the cream over the chicken. Dot with butter squares. Cover tightly and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Uncover and place under the broiler for 5 minutes or until chicken is golden brown. Serves piping hot.
