BUTTERMILK POUND CAKE 
1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
4 eggs
1/2 tsp. baking powder
3 c. cake flour
1 c. buttermilk
1/2 tsp. baking soda (add to milk)
1 tsp. lemon
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter and sugar, add eggs one at a time and beat well. Add all dry ingredients except soda alternately with milk. Add flavorings. Cook at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 10 minutes. Test at 1 hour.
