BUTTERMILK POUND CAKE 
1 c. butter
3 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 c. buttermilk
1/4 tsp. baking soda dissolved in buttermilk
3 c. flour
3 tsp. lemon flavoring
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped fine pecans

Cream together butter and sugar gradually add eggs and beat well. Alternately add flour and buttermilk to cream mixture. Add flavorings.

Bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.

Grease and flour tube pan. Spread nuts evenly over bottom of pan. Pour batter over nuts. This does not need a glaze.
