PINEAPPLE UPSIDE DOWN CAKE 
TOPPING:

1 stick butter
1 c. dark brown sugar
1 (20 oz.) pineapple slices (natural juice)
Maraschino cherries

CAKE:

1 yellow cake mix

Melt butter. Stir in sugar. Spread in pan(s). Arrange fruit on top. Prepare cake as directed on packaging, substituting pineapple juice for water. Pour batter over fruit; bake as directed on package.

Note: You may use two 8 inch pans for gift giving or a 9 x 13 inch pan. Line with wax paper before using.
