1 c. shortening
2 c. brown sugar, packed
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. chopped pecans

Cream shortening, sugar, and vanilla. Add eggs to creamed mixture and beat well. Sift together dry ingredients and add. Add pecans and mix well. Drop by teaspoon on a cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees about 10 minutes.
