PAN COFFEE CAKE | |
5 to 5 1/2 c. all-purpose flour 2 pkg. yeast 1/2 c. sugar 1 tsp. salt 1 c. milk 1/2 c. lukewarm water 1/2 c. butter 2 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla Scald milk, then pour into large bowl with the sugar, butter and salt. Let it get lukewarm until butter is melted, then put in 2 cups flour into your mixture. Put yeast in lukewarm water and dissolve with 1 teaspoon sugar. Pour over your flour mixture, then add eggs. Beat mixture for 1 minute, then add rest of flour, add vanilla. Roll out and knead dough for about 25 times, then put in greased bowl for 30 minutes or until doubled in size. Then punch down dough. Roll out and put in jelly roll pan; let rise again for 30 minutes. Then put a little melted butter. Add cinnamon-sugar mixture over top of melted butter. Add any kind of topping. |
