ITALIAN CREAM CAKE | |
1/2 c. Crisco 2 c. sugar 5 egg yolks 1 stick butter 2 c. flour 1 c. buttermilk 1 tsp. baking soda 2 c. coconut 1/2 c. pecans 1 tsp. vanilla Cream first 4 ingredients; add flour, buttermilk, soda, coconut, pecans, and vanilla. Beat 5 egg whites and fold in batter. Bake in 3 layers at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes. ICING CREAM CAKE: 1 lg. Philadelphia cream cheese 1 box powdered sugar 1 stick butter 1 tsp. vanilla Mix until smooth; spread on cake. Sprinkle coconut on top. |
