NEW MEXICO CORNBREAD 
1 can cream style corn
3/4 c. milk
1/3 c. oil
1 1/2 c. cornmeal
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. sugar
1 can (4 oz.) chopped green chili
1 1/2 c. grated cheese

Mix all ingredients except cheese. Pour 1/2 of batter into greased 9 x 9 pan. Sprinkle on 1/2 of cheese. Add remaining batter and top with the rest of the cheese. Bake at 400 degrees for 45 minutes. Cool slightly and serve.
