KARMEL KORN 
6 qt. popcorn, popped
1 c. butter
2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. corn syrup
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

Melt butter in saucepan. Stir in brown sugar, corn syrup and salt. Bring to boil, stirring constantly. Boil 5 minutes without stirring. Remove from heat, add baking soda and vanilla. Pour over popcorn. Mix well. Spread on cookie sheet, bake 1 hour at 250 degrees. Stirring now and then. Store in air tight container. Add nuts or peanuts for a real treat.
