Ok I wanted a thicker Apple crisp, so I did the recipe x 4.
Now my first batch was perfect apples but my crust did not get very large crumbles. So my second batch I have put melted butter on top of the oatmeal mix. It's still in the oven...still just what I was looking for.

Thank you Thank you!! My apple tree out front is heavily laden and the lawn is covered with apples. Haven't been able to start canning them as I was married last week

I also made this gluten free and didn't add nutmeg only because its not my favorite spice. I used 6oz ramekins using one pear in each one for individual servings. We loved it, fast easy & delicious!

This was delicious! I made it gluten free by adding brown rice flour and potato starch. (I filled the 1/3 c. with rice flour, removed 1 tbsp., then added 1 tbsp. of potato starch.)

I also used three different sugars: brown sugar, raw sugar and sucanat (natural cane sugar).

It was so easy and yummy. I will definitely make this again.
