APPLE OATMEAL CRISP 
4 c. Granny Smith apples, peeled and thinly sliced
1 tbsp. freshly squeezed lemon juice
3 tbsp. granulated sugar
1/3 c. flour
1 c. rolled oats
1/2 c. firmly packed dark brown sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon or to taste
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. unsalted butter, melted

Butter a 9-inch square baking pan. Combine apples, lemon juice and sugar in pan.

In a separate bowl, combine the flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon and salt. Add butter and stir well.

Sprinkle oat mixture evenly over apples in pan.

Bake in a preheated 375°F oven for 30 minutes or until apples are tender.

Serve topped with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
