TEQUILA CARAMEL APPLE OATMEAL
CRISP
 
4 apples, peeled and sliced
2 oz. (4 tbsp.) Tequila (I use gold)
1/4 cup maple syrup
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
2 tsp. cinnamon (or more if desired)
pinch of salt
1/4 cup white sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup oatmeal (or rolled oats)
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
caramel syrup, for drizzling (Hershey's, Smucker's, etc.)

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Peel and slice apples. Layer bottom of an 8x8-inch pan. Cover apple with Tequila and maple syrup.

In a separate bowl mix nutmeg, cinnamon, salt, sugars, oats/oatmeal, and flour.

Cut in butter and sprinkle mixture over apples.

Drizzle caramel over crust and bake at 350°F for 35 minutes or until golden top.
