NUT CRUNCH | |
1/2 c. chopped nuts 1/2 c. butter 3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar 6 sqs. Bakers semi-sweet chocolate, coarsely chopped Sprinkle nuts into lightly buttered 8-inch square pan. Melt butter in heavy saucepan over very low heat. Add sugar and bring to a full boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Reduce heat and boil gently 4 minutes, stirring occasionally. Pour evenly over nuts in pan; sprinkle with chocolate. Cover with foil for 2 minutes to soften chocolate; then spread evenly. Chill until firm. Remove from pan; cut or break into pieces. Makes about 1 pound. |
