SAUSAGE BAKED BEANS 
1 lb. seasoned sausage, hot or mild
1 lg. onion, chopped
2 (31 oz.) cans pork and beans
1 c. dark brown sugar or molasses or mixed
1/2 tsp. powdered ginger
1 tsp. dry mustard
1/2 c. hot water
1 tsp. salt

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Fry sausage (breaking up as it cooks). Drain well. In large bowl, combine sugar, onion, beans and sausage. Dissolve ginger, salt and dry mustard into hot water and stir into bean mixture. Turn into 2 1/2 or 3 quart casserole and bake for 1 hour.
