CHERRY SQUARES 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. butter
1 tbsp. lemon extract or juice
1 can cherry pie filling
2 c. flour
4 eggs
15 x 10 x 1 inch pan

Cream butter well with sugar. Add eggs one at a time and beat until light and fluffy. At low speed add flour and extract. Spread in a greased jelly roll pan. Mark off 20 squares. Place 1 tablespoon filling in the center of each square (use whole can of filling). Bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes. While warm, sift confectioners sugar on cake squares and cool.
