PEPPER NUTS 
3 eggs
2 c. brown sugar
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. cloves
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. raisins
1 c. walnuts
Citron, optional

Heat oven to 350 degrees and grease 2 cookie sheets. Beat together the eggs and sugar. Sift together the next 7 ingredients and add to above. Stir in raisins and nuts and citron.

Drop dough by tablespoonsful on 2 cookie sheets. Bake about 10 minutes until lightly browned. These cookies store well for a month. This is a Swiss recipe passed on by my Great-Grandfather.
