AUNT FLORENCE'S THREE BEAN SALAD 
1 (1 lb.) can cut green beans
1 (1 lb.) can cut wax beans
1 (15 oz.) can kidney beans
1 sm. can garbanzo beans (optional)
1 sm. red onion, cut into rings
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 c. granulated sugar or brown sugar
1/2 c. wine vinegar
1/2 c. olive oil

Drain beans thoroughly. Rinse kidney beans in cold water and drain. Slice onion thin and separate into rings. Combine beans, onions, salt, pepper, and sugar in deep bowl. Heat vinegar BUT DO NOT BOIL. Add oil to vinegar. Pour over beans. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Serve in tomato cups or lettuce cups. Good as a pot luck dish served in the deep bowl.
