GERMAN APPLE CAKE | |
2 lg. eggs 1 c. salad oil 1 tsp. vanilla Beat above ingredients until foamy. Sift together: 2 c. flour, sift before measuring 2 c. sugar 2 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt Add: 4 c. apples, peeled and sliced thin 1/2 c. chopped nuts Mix all ingredients together in large bowl. Batter will be thick DO NOT USE MIXER. Spread in greased pan 9 x 12. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until knife comes out clean. ICING: 1/2 lg. cream cheese 2 tbsp. soft butter 1 tsp. vanilla Beat with electric beater until creamy. |
