GERMAN APPLE CAKE 
2 or 3 eggs
1 c. salad oil
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
4 c. sliced apple
3/4 c. walnuts

Beat eggs and oil until frothy. Add sugar and vanilla and beat again. Add dry ingredients, stirring them in slowly. Add apples and nuts. Bake in a 9 x 13 inch greased pan for 45 minutes in a 350 degree oven. Ice with the following icing.

ICING:

2 sm. pkgs. cream cheese
3 tbsp. melted butter
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. powdered sugar

Cream together with mixer.
