ORIENTAL STIR FRY CHICKEN | |
1 lb. cut up chicken breasts 1 tbsp. peanut oil 1 sm. clove garlic 1 c. broccoli 1/2 c. pea pods 1 can water chestnuts MARINADE: 2 tsp. sherry 2 tsp. soy sauce 2 tsp. cornstarch 2 tsp. water Marinate chicken 15 minutes or longer. Steam vegetables. Warm peanut oil, add garlic and chicken. Saute and stir for 5 to 8 minutes on very high heat in large fry pan. Add vegetables and water chestnuts. Stir fry for 1 minute. Add cooking sauce, stir until it all thickens. Serve over curly oriental noodles (put soy sauce on noodles first). COOKING SAUCE: 1/2 c. water 1 tbsp. sherry 2 tbsp. soy sauce 1/4 tsp. sugar 1 tsp. sesame oil 1 tbsp. cornstarch 1 tsp. Chinese spice powder Combine. |
