Instant rice 1/2 tsp. turmeric 1 box frozen peas 1/4 lb. smoked turkey 1 sm. jar pimentos 1 sm. can pitted black olives 1 sm. can shrimp Fresh or dried parsley flakes Prepare rice according to label directions for 4 servings (substitute chicken broth for water if you have it) and add turmeric to cooking liquid. Meanwhile, thaw peas under hot running water; cut turkey into chunks, the pimentos into slivers, and the olives into quarters. Toss with rice and add shrimp and a generous sprinkling of parsley. Makes 4 servings. |
