SUE'S UNSTUFFED CABBAGE 
1 lb. ground beef
1 lg. egg
1/4 c. uncooked rice (reg. or minute)
1/4 tsp. salt

SAUCE:

2 lbs. cabbage, sliced
1 1/2 c. water
1 lb. stewed tomatoes
8 oz. tomato sauce
1/2 c. vinegar
2 tbsp. lemon juice
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 sm. apple, chopped

Make meatballs by combining ingredients. Roll into small balls. Mix sauce ingredients together in Dutch oven. Top with meatballs. Cook covered for 2 hours over medium heat. Ground turkey can be substituted for beef.
