UNSTUFFED CABBAGE | |
1 head cabbage 2 lbs. ground sirloin 2 eggs Grated onion to taste 1 (32 oz.) bottle Heinz catsup 1 (33 oz.) bottle Sckhwepp is ginger ale (1 liter) Cut cabbage into 1 inch wide strips and put in 8 quart stock pot. Add the ginger ale and the ketchup, cover and bring to a boil. Cook 15 minutes. Meanwhile, rub or grate onion into meat. Mix well with egg. You can add 1/4 cup raw rice if desired. Form into patties and add to sauce and cabbage. Simmer covered for 1 1/2 hours. This can be divided into portions and frozen. |
