DIVINITY CANDY | |
2 c. sugar Pinch of salt 1 pt. marshmallow creme 1/2 c. water 1 1/2 c. chopped nuts 1 tsp. imitation vanilla or 1/2 tsp. real vanilla Put marshmallow creme in large mixing bowl and add vanilla. Combine sugar, water and salt in pan. (Do not scrape sides of pan once it starts to boil.) Boil to 225 degrees on candy thermometer. Pour over marshmallow creme and stir until well blended and nuts. Pour into greased square baking dish; 9"x9" or a little bitter or drop by teaspoonfuls on wax paper. (Be sure to stir candy until it thickens and loses its gloss.) |
