PICKLED OKRA 
Garlic, 1 clove per pt.
Hot pepper, 1 pod per pt.
3-4 lb. okra, small pods
1/2 c. salt
1 qt. vinegar
1 c. water
Dill seed, 1 tsp. per pint

Place garlic and hot pepper in bottom of jars. Remove part of stem from okra. Pack washed and drained okra firmly in jar. Add dill seed. Bring vinegar, water and salt to boil and simmer for 5 minutes. Pour over okra; seal jars. Process in boiling water bath for 15 minutes. Yields enough pickling solution for about 6 pints.
