SHEPHERD'S PIE 
1 sm. onion, minced
1 tbsp. shortening
1 can (10 1/4 oz.) beef gravy
2 c. cubed, cooked beef
1 c. cooked carrots
1/2 c. cooked peas
2 c. seasoned mashed potatoes

Brown onion lightly in shortening. Combine with beef gravy, beef, carrots and peas. Pour into a 1 1/2 quart casserole.

Spoon potatoes on top, bake 450 degrees about 25 minutes or until potatoes are lightly brown.
