ORANGE SLICE CAKE 
3 1/2 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt

1 lb. orange slice candy, cut up
1 pkg. (8 oz.) pitted dates, chopped
2 c. chopped walnuts
1 can (3 1/4 oz.) flaked coconut

Add 1/2 flour mixture, mixing well.

1 c. butter

2 c. sugar, beat well

4 eggs, beating well after each addition

1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. buttermilk

Add alternately with flour mixture, blend well after each addition. Add candy mixture, mixing well. Turn inot a 10 inch tube pan or bundt pan, which has been greased and floured. Bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour and 45 minutes.

ORNAGE GLAZE:

1 c. orange juice
2 c. confectioner's sugar

Pour over hot cake, cool. Let stand overnight before removing from pan.
