PECAN TURTLES 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. light corn syrup
2/3 c. sweetened condensed milk
1 1/2 c. pecan pieces
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 pkg. (6 oz.) chocolate chips, melted

Melt butter. Stir in brown sugar. Add corn syrup and sweetened condensed milk. Cook, stir occasionally to 245 degrees (firm ball stage, about 15-20 minutes). Remove from heat. Stir in pecans and vanilla.

Drop by tablespoons onto greased baking sheets. When cool and firm dip into melted chocolate to coat top. Return to greased sheet and cool until set. Store covered container in cool place. I use the microwave for this.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
