BANANAS FOSTER | |
6 ripe bananas, peeled, sliced lengthwise and quartered 1 tbsp. lemon juice 3/4 c. butter 1 1/2 c. firmly packed dark brown sugar 1 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon 1/4 c. banana-flavored liqueur 1/2 c. dark rum vanilla ice cream Peel and slice bananas and sprinkle with lemon juice. Melt butter in skillet; add brown sugar, cinnamon and stir over low heat until melted and mixed well. Add the banana liqueur and rum and then the bananas and saut for several minutes, until golden. Pour over ice cream and serve. |
