HAMBURGER BISCUIT CASSEROLE 
1 lb. ground beef
1 sm. onion, chopped
1 tbsp. shortening
1 tsp. salt
1 can tomato soup
2 c. cut green beans (canned), drained
2 c. biscuit mix
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. water

Brown ground beef and small onion in 1 tablespoon hot shortening. Season with salt and pepper. Add 1 can tomato soup, 1/2 cup water, 2 cups canned green beans, drained. Pour into greased baking dish or 8" square pan. Prepare drop biscuit dough using 2 cups biscuit mix. Drop biscuit batter on top of meat mixture. Bake in 450 degree oven for 15 to 20 minutes or until biscuits are brown and done.

Delicious...superb...fantastic! I have been looking for this recipe for ages. My mother used to make this for us kids and it is a definite winner at suppertime. I used low sodium tomato soup, 1/2 lb. ground beef and 1/2 lb. ground turkey, omitted the salt, and used mixed veggies instead of green beans. Also I made the biscuits from my own recipe rather than use Bisquick, which is high in sodium. Yummy!
