APPLE-DAPPLE CAKE 
Cream together:

2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. Crisco oil
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla

Add:

3 c. sifted plain flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda

Mix together well; then add:

1 c. chopped pecans
1 c. Angel Flake coconut
1 c. raisins
3 c. chopped Granny Smith apples (2 lg.)
1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple (the heavy syrup type), DRAINED

Combine all ingredients well. Pour into a large baking pan or tube pan that has been lightly greased. Bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees.

GLAZE FOR APPLE-DAPPLE CAKE:

While caking is baking, prepare the following glaze to pour over hot cake.

Place in heavy saucepan:

1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1/8 c. milk
1/4 tsp. cinnamon (optional)

Bring to a boil and cook for 2 1/2 minutes, STIRRING CONSTANTLY. Pour over cake and allow to stand several hours or overnight.
