OLD FASHIONED CORN DOGS 
1 c. Martha White self-rising flour
2/3 c. Martha White self-rising cornmeal
3/4 c. milk
1 egg, beaten lightly
2 tbsp. oil
1 lb. wieners

(Wooden skewers, mustard and catsup as desired.)

In large saucepan or electric fryer heat 2 or 3 inches of oil over medium heat to 375 degrees. Stir together meal and flour in mixing bowl, add milk, egg and 2 tablespoons oil; stir until smooth. SET ASIDE FOR 10 MINUTES. Insert skewers, dip in batter, carefully. Drop in hot oil. Fry until brown and floating. Remove and drain on paper towel. Serve with catsup or mustard.
