PASTRY SURPRIZES 
1 can refrigerated crescent rolls
Assorted chocolate covered mint candy, raisins, maraschino cherries
Hot oil
Powdered sugar

Unroll package of crescent roll pastry. With fingers, gently press together perforation to make a solid sheet of pastry. With sharp knife, cut into small squares (12 to 16 per rectangle of pastry). Place candy or fruit in center of each square. Fold pastry square together. Press and seal seam. Roll in your hand until shaped like a ball. Deep fry until a puffy, golden brown. Drain. Roll in powdered sugar. Ready to serve.
