CHICKEN CASSEROLE 
4 chicken breasts or legs
2 tbsp. oil
1/2 lb. sliced mushrooms (or 1 can)
1/2 c. chopped celery
1 onion, chopped
2 tart apples, sliced
2 c. chicken broth
Flour to thicken
Salt & pepper

Brown chicken pieces in oil in heavy skillet. Remove, keep warm. Saute onion, mushrooms and celery until partially cooked. Add flour and broth. Stir and bring to boil. Add seasoning. Pour over chicken in casserole. Add sliced apples. Cover and bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees. More liquid may be added while cooking if necessary.
