HAMBURGER SOUP 
1 1/2 lbs. hamburger
1 can of tomatoes
1 to 4 med. potatoes, diced
1 sm. onion
1/4 c. rice
2 bay leaves (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
1 lg. can tomato juice
1/2 c. water
2 carrots, diced
2 to 3 branches of celery, sliced
1/4 c. barley
2 beef bouillon cubes

Fry hamburger; place in a large kettle and add the rest of the ingredients. Simmer until the vegetables are tender and the rice and barley are done.
