ROYAL CHERRY BREAD | |
1/2 c. shortening 1 c. sugar 2 eggs 1/2 c. juice from a 10 oz. jar of maraschino cherries 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1/2 tsp. almond extract 2 c. sifted flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking powder 1/2 c. chopped walnuts 1 (10 oz.) jar maraschino cherries, diced Cream and mix well, shortening and sugar. Add egg, juice from cherries, vanilla, and almond extract. Sift together and add flour, salt, and baking powder. Then add the chopped walnuts and diced cherries. Stir into mixture. Bake in loaf pan at 350 degrees for 50 minutes for 1 large loaf pan or 30 minutes for 2 smaller loaves. |
